Directed by Maruthi, this fantasy-horror flick starring Prabhas promises a blend of mystery, humor, and spectral chaos.

The teaser cleverly juxtaposes spine-tingling suspense with whimsical, comedic beats. As Prabhas enters, quipping, “Can you calm down for a second?”—possibly to the ghost and the audience—the tone shifts playfully, maintaining suspense while infusing levity. This unique combination could redefine genre boundaries, making it a potential landmark in Telugu cinema’s exploration of horror-comedy hybrids.

A Star-Studded Ensemble Brings the Haunted Story to Life

The casting in The Raja Saab reads like a fantasy lineup. Prabhas is joined by veteran actor Sanjay Dutt in a compelling antagonist role. Leading ladies Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar enhance the visual narrative, each shown in romantic glimpses with the hero. Hombale Films and Kleem Productions have unveiled the lineup for their ambitious animated franchise, the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. Spanning over a decade, the series will chronicle the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu, starting with Mahavatar Narsimha in 2025 and culminating with Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 in 2037.


An official quote from Hombale Films read, “At Hombale Films, we believe in storytelling that transcends time and borders,” said a spokesperson from Hombale Films. “With Mahavatar, we are proud to present a cinematic universe that brings the sacred avatars of Vishnu to life through breathtaking animation. This is more than a film series — it is our tribute to India’s spiritual legacy.”

The Mahavatar Cinematic Universe isn’t limited to film alone; it is envisioned as a multi-platform cultural phenomenon. Expanding into comics, immersive video games, digital storytelling, and collectible experiences, the universe will offer fans multiple ways to engage with the epic saga, said the makers in a statement.


Mahavatar Narsimha is directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions. Promising visual grandeur and cultural richness, the film will release in 3D and in five Indian languages on July 25, 2025. Mahavatar Narasimaha (2025), Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037) are the films in the franchise.

Karan Johar is back with his directorial film, Dhadak 2. While the first film launched his best friend, Sridevi's daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, the second instalment looks promising as it shows intense acting of Bollywood's two most-loved gemstones, Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, as the protagonists. The much-awaited trailer received a lot of love from the audience in the intercaste love story.

A three-minute-long trailer of the film was dropped on Instagram. The video opened with Siddhant telling Triptii how she should stay away from him if she loved him. However, she hugs him and refuses to leave. Siddhant, who is playing the role of 'Neelesh' in the film, stated that living with him is not that easy. Triptii is playing the role of 'Vidhi' and the two met in law college.

In the film, 'Vidhi' is a bold young woman who wants to explore life as it comes, whereas Siddhant's character is simple and sweet, and he just wants to complete his education in a world where he doesn't seem to fit in. The two fell in love like old Bollywood films, but it is Triptii's family that becomes the villain and objects to their intercaste relationship. Sharing the trailer video, Karan Johar penned.

For the unversed, Dhadak 2 is based on the 2018 Tamil film, Pariyerum Perumal. It is a story about a law student who comes from a lower caste and fell in love with a girl in his college from an upper caste family. Within no time, their bond gets tested due the caste tensions. The film is written by Rahul Badwelkar, Shazia Iqbad and produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Arora, Somen Mishra and Pragati Deshmukh under the collaboration of Zee Studios and Dharma Productions.

Ajay Devgn has a few franchises under his belt and while films like Drishyam, Raid, Golmaal appeared to be the kind that had the potential to turn into a franchise, no one, not even some of his ardent fans, expected him to come out with a sequel of his 2012 film Son of Sardaar. The first film was set in Punjab, and the new film’s trailer opens with the text asking, “Will he survive Scotland?”

The trailer then shows Ajay’s character watching an older woman performing a pole dance, and as she collapses, the film tries to make a joke on “Bebe marr gayi (Old woman is dead).” The trailer then proceeds to introduce a gamut of characters who seem to be here for a wedding. 

At one point, Ajay starts pretending he is Sunny Deol from Border, as Ravi Kishan’s character speaks incorrect English. Mrunal Thakur plays Ajay’s love interest here. The film also stars Mukul Dev in his last role. The actor passed away in May 2024. Sanjay Mishra, Vindu Dara Singh, Dolly Ahluwalia and Neeru Bajwa also star in the film.
